INGREDIENTS:
  • 150 g butter
  • 300 g sugar
  • grated shell of 1 lemon
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g almonds
  • 100 g of quality chocolate - chopped
  • 6 dl flour (you might need a little more)
  • 3 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Then add one egg at the time and stir between each one. Add the dry ingredients except for the nuts and chocolate. Mix the dry ingredients except for the nuts together, and add to the mixture. If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour. Divide the dough into two and roll each portion into a sausage a little shorter than the baking tray. Place the four rolls on the baking tray and flatten it a bit. Each sausage should now be about 6 cm wide.

Bake at 180 °C for approx. 25 minutes. Slice the sausages in narrow slices at an angle, place them back on the baking tray and cook for another 6 minutes on each side (turn them at halftime). You could also melt some chocolate and drizzle over after they have cooled down. Store dry.
